Chayuta is a rising Afro-R&B / Afrobeats artist whose multicultural roots and soulful voice define a fresh, global sound.
Born to a South African father (former national team captain Aaron Mokoena) and a Ghanaian mother, she spent much of her childhood moving between Europe and Africa, including Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK, and South Africa, before settling in Ghana.
From her earliest years, music has been her calling: she began singing professionally at age nine.
Her debut project, the EP titled 17, landed when she was just 18, showcasing her versatility and raw talent across Afrobeat, Afro-pop, and R&B sounds.
Her genre-blending style, which she describes simply as “using my voice as my instrument,” allows her to explore and cross musical boundaries from heartfelt love songs to dance-floor anthems.
Over the years, Chayuta has released several singles that resonated with fans worldwide, including Where You Dey? and Yawa. More recently, she dropped Surrender a nostalgic yet contemporary love-anthem that highlights her vocal depth and emotive storytelling.
Always evolving, Chayuta is now working toward her next project, set to further cement her place among the rising stars of Afrobeats and Afro-R&B bringing culture, soul, and authenticity to every note.
